We love when the weather picks up and we're all ready to start fantasising about dreamy summer colour schemes. In that way, we simply couldn't resist finding some gorgeous inspiration for a gorgeous, sunny yellow colour scheme. You may shy away from yellow slightly if you find it hard to match it up but the truth is this gorgeously bright shade actually goes with a lot of colour schemes. It all comes down to the right shade of yellow, and the kind of tone you want to set.

You could opt for simple yellow or lemon shades that gently fade into white. This works really well for brides who want a simple colour scheme, becuase they've already got a strong white background with their own gown. As for their bouquet, they can go for bold sunflowers or delicate yellow and white roses. Lemon bridesmaids also look great next to a white bride.

If you're looking to add a second colour, you can make the sunny tone pop against a muted background of grey or dusty rose. Although, if you're looking for something a little more vibrant, bright colours will also make the yellow colour stand out. It's a loud enough colour that it can definitely hold it's own against a bright turquoise or a deep, strong navy. If you want to go full throttle with a summer colour scheme, consider mixing your yellow hue with tones of pink and coral.

Go the extra mile with this colour and add real lemons to your theme. And what happens when life gives you lemons? Give your guests a refreshing summer treat with homemade lemonade, or even lemon cocktails. Lemons also make excellent and unusual wedding decor if you want to take it to the next level.
