2015 is about bringing forward the natural makeup trends from 2014 and adding a touch of glitz and glamour.
CONTOURING
Contouring was huge in 2014 and it seems the trend to create the most chiseled jaw-line, high cheekbones and perfectly angular nose is going nowhere for 2015. Nailing this technique can really transform your bridal look and sculpt your face, ensuring you look picture perfect for your big day. A new year means a development in the trend though and for the contour-loving brides of 2015, it’s all done with a twist of colour to make you stand out from the bridal party. Be careful not to be too heavy-handed or too bold with colour though; all this look needs is slighter darker shades such as peachier or rose-coloured tones for the cheekbones.
LIPS
Think the English Rose look for your bridal lip trend of 2015. Feminine, soft and subtle is the way forward for your soup coolers, allowing your facial beauty to shine through as you glide down the aisle. When the time comes for the pivotal first kiss as a married couple, a softer lip ensures your groom is left with just a faint outline of your lips instead of a messy, rough smudge!
THE WINTER BRIDE
For those planning an autumn/winter wedding, a darker look is not only advised, but is also very on-trend! A smokey eye or burgundy lip with warmer make-up tones are far more suited to the colder weather than the softer tones encouraged for the spring/summer bride. Be sure to stress to your make-up artist not to make your look too severe and stick to golds, browns and overall warmer colours.
METALLICS
Bridal catwalks of 2015 are bringing back the 90s! For your special day though, think more subtle soft shimmer, than in your face roller disco! Although metallic blues are not particularly forgiving in an overall bridal look, silvers and browns work quite well in keeping with a more feminine theme.
