New to the beauty market comes Bobbi Brown’s Art Stick; a fat lip pencil that is available in 8 flattering shades and acts as dual lip liner and lipstick in one. Perhaps sounding like a bit of dull release (is there a brand out there who doesn’t already have one of these in their line?) this is in fact far from.
Let me start my raving by saying that what separates this particular lip pencil from the rest has to be its unique texture. I was expecting something dry, and well pencil-ish, but this product is super-creamy and smooth. Yes, a pencil that is creamy. Mind. Blown. (It is enriched with Shea Butter so no drying out!)
Feeling like a lipstick, it has a matt finish that fades evenly with wear. I was genuinely fearful of that darker-around-the-edges look you get from a liner/lipstick duo as it fades, but this product left no sign of this beauty faux pas. One sweep and you are guaranteed a perfectly vibrant pout from the start of the day to the finish with only the opacity changing.
If you are not already sold, then let me tell you that this product can, in the case of an emergency, be used on the cheeks. Yep, if you are stuck on a desert island with only your Art Stick to hand you can dot and blend in this product for a subtle blush. Oh, how I love a multi-use product! (Perfect for the honeymoon makeup bag!)
