One of our favourite things to do is to spy on the stunning fashion the Met Gala has to offer. While celebrities offer everything from glamorous gowns to way out there outfits for us to look at, we always have a special eagle eye out for fabulous bridal inspiration from the fashion elite and the 2016 Met Gala certainly didn't disappoint.
One of our favourite gowns from the Met Gala has to be Lorde's whimsical rainbow coloured gown from Valentino. Far from her normal dark colours and edgy glamour, her dress last night left us swooning for the pastel colours any bride could have in their own gown.
Another beauty not shying away from the dreamy ruffles of a bridal-style gown was Karolina Kurkova. She wowed the red carpet last night in a stunning, dusty blue dress from Marchesa. The floral appliques offer an extra level of femininity.
For inspiration for a simple silhouette, both Emily Ratajkowski and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were rocking the one-shoulder look in sensual, slim-fitted gowns fit for any beautiful bride. Both had a sexy side slit, while Emily sported a bright white gown from Prabal Gurung and Rosie opted for a warmer, cream shade of dress from the Ralph Lauren Collection.
Kate Hudson also didn't disappoint in Atelier Versace, with angles, cut outs and edgy designs for the more modern bride. The gown definitely has awe-inspiring detail to make your guests do a double take, and it's not for the fainthearted but for the bride who wants to make a statement as soon as she walks in the room sharp, fashionable glamour, Kate's dress is certainly one to take inspiration from. For brides looking for something a little simpler, but now a fan of the one-shoulder look, Uma Thurman and Elle Fanning both showed off their figures last night in light champagne-coloured column gowns, fitting for a bride. Uma's Tommy Hilfiger gown has a modest side slit with a daring low back, while Elle's Thakoon dress mirrored the trend of the slip dress taking over the catwalks this season with a delicate, silk number.
If you're thinking of prints and colour for something unique, Blake Lively certainly presented brides with a stunning idea from the Met Gala. Her Burberry ensemble wowed us all with a simple, blush silhouette followed by a stunning train with oriental-style red leaves and flowers dancing down the bottom. Her side slit also revealed a shimmery blush underskirt.
However, one of our favourite bridal looks from last night's Met Gala has to be Jennifer Hudson's gown, who rocked a custom-made H&M gown upon returning to the Met Gala for the first time in five years. The snow white gown has stunning ruffled detail with a show-stopping train that is just to die for, trailing all the way up the stairs. We're definitely in love with this look for brides.
