While brides-to-be are searching high and low for their dream wedding dress, grooms have their own wedding attire to think about. From morning suits to black tie tuxedos, there are plenty of options for the men to choose from, not least their accessories, with top hats coming up as the go-to addition to their formal wedding suit. It is their day too, after all.
Top hats look great at vintage-style weddings and are often worn with morning suits or black/white tie weddings. But in recent years grooms are opting to add a stylish top hat to any type of suit and we must say, they look great. Naturally hats must be taken off in the church or for an indoor ceremony. It's also important for grooms (and groomsmen if they're in top hats too) to doff or tip their hat before addressing a lady. After all, it is a wedding, and gentlemanly behaviour is a must.
Grooms have a variety of options when it comes to donning the top hat. To differentiate themselves from their groomsmen, they could be the only ones sporting a top hat, or they could wear a different colour top hat to their groomsmen if you fancy multiple top hats. But mind the suits and colours so that they don't look odd together; you can always have all the men wear the same hat and set yourself apart as the groom in a different way, such as your waistcoat or buttonhole.
