With lace, sparkles and tiers, the Spring 2017 collection from Reem Acra shows off a unique ability to combine multiple designs and trends to create beautiful dresses without overloading them with detail.
Although Reem Acra has a wide range of trends in the latest offering, we couldn’t help but notice a lot of narrow, column or trumpet silhouettes gracing the collection.
Two stand out trumpet dresses in the collection were definitely these sweetheart neckline gowns, each with their own details. The first is a strapless gown with a fitted bodice and a huge amount of detail from the bodice to the skirt. The second dress took similar designs to the next level with added lace off-the-shoulder sleeves.
Reem Acra also took the lace trend to the next level in one of her fitted dresses, with this beauty. With transparent lace detailing from top to bottom, this gown is the embodiment of a sensual bride, with delicate cap sleeves and a deep plunging neckline.
With other straight silhouettes, Reem Acra didn’t shy away from tails and trains on her dresses to give them an extra element of wow. These two gowns both have very different trains, demonstrating Reem’s skill as a designer. We particularly love the first one, with a smooth gown and a contrasting winged train made of lace appliqués.
While her narrow, figure-hugging gowns were at the forefront of the collection, Reem Acra definitely didn’t neglect brides who are still fans of the classic A-line ball gown.
One of our favourites has to be this stunning organza ball gown with a glittering bodice and sweetheart neckline. This is perfect for the bride who doesn’t want a skirt too wide, but still wants to feel like an absolute princess.
For a little more occasion in your wedding dress, this intricately detailed bodice and wide, multi-layered skirt can easily become your dream dress.
