The evenings are going to get so much shorter, and so much darker, over the next few weeks, so if you were planning on getting married around this time of year, you may as well embrace it. If you have chosen a Halloween wedding, it would be remiss of you to not acknowledge that in your décor.
You might think Halloween is a bit of a morbid wedding theme, but in actual fact, it can be classy, quirky and romantic if you do it right. We're certainly not suggesting hanging skeletons and fake cobwebs from the ceiling (unless you want to) but there are plenty of little details you can add to your wedding that give your guests a taste of Halloween while still maintaining an elegant and romantic affair.
For a start, pumpkin decorations are definitely the way to go. Use them as table numbers, place cards or just general decorations around your wedding. You can even add white pumpkins to give them a slightly bridal effect. We also have a special place in our hearts for dark wedding cakes, especially for a Halloween or gothic themed wedding, although, truthfully, we love dark wedding cakes at any time of the year. Check out these stunning dark cakes.
We also love the idea of a custom-made Halloween cocktail especially for your wedding, and giving it a special Halloween name, or just keeping it simple with a 'love potion' cocktail. We also love the small detail of adding blackberries to prosecco in place of the usual strawberries. If you're getting married on or around Halloween, be sure to embrace it with some of these perfect details.
