As we head into the summer with slightly less than impressive weather, we can't help but fantasise about a beach or seaside wedding you might be able to have with some fabulous sunshine. Of course there are never any guarantees about weather but that shouldn't stop you from having the wedding of your dreams, even if that is by the sea. And if you can't bring your wedding to the seaside in Ireland, you can still bring the seaside to you.
Of course, there are plenty of ways to incorporate the seaside into your special day, from your invitations and your place cards, to your cake and your cocktails - oh, yes, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to seaside drinks your guests can sip on. From Sea Breezes and Salty Dogs to Blue Lagoons or even Blue Lemonade for the teatotallers among your guest list. Shades of mint, turquoise and gold all emphasise the seaside colour scheme, or if you want to edge towards the nautical side of things, opt for navy, white and red as your colour scheme.
While we love all the beach and seaside-themed decor you can add to your wedding, it's important not to forget about the fashion side of things. We love wedding dresses that mimic the ocean, and if even if you have a white gown in mind, you can always stick to a seaside colour scheme with your bridesmaids and your bouquet. If you're looking for a relaxed style, you can even style your hair with loose, beach waves, with minimal make-up and sun-kissed skin.
