Wedding cakes are divine. Looking at gorgeous and decadent cakes is one of our favourite jobs, but a traditional three-tiered masterpiece isn't for everyone, especially these days, with couples straying further from tradition every year. For brides and grooms who want something a little different, they might opt for a dessert table in place of a wedding cake. Even couples who still want the wedding cake may choose to place it on a table surrounded by other sweets, treats and desserts. Whether you opt for a rustic wedding, a Gatsby wedding or a vintage affair, there are plenty of options for your to create your dream dessert table.

Dessert table

Dessert tables are a perfect way to give your guests a little something extra. Not all guests will be happy with your single dessert choice after dinner, so offering them a variety of choice in the form of a dessert table is the perfect answer. You might even ask friends and family who are especially talented in the baking department to contribute something to your dessert table. Alternatively, you can give your guests an even sweeter treat with a sweet cart instead of a dessert table, or perhaps a cookie station. Whatever you choose, take some inspiration from our weekly Instagram top five.
