One of the big parts of a wedding is sharing the day with the people you love the most. But with so many people there, it can be hard to remember who to send the thank you cards to. This is where the guest book comes in handy. Not everyone will remember to sign it, but people will be more likely to sign if it it's a little more exciting than a standard, formal book. A personalised book will make your wedding a little more unique, and will leave you with a more interesting keepsake than just a book of signatures.
For even more memorable images, invest in a Polaroid camera and get your guests to start snapping and sign the back of the photos, or paste them into your own personalised guest book with a little message of well wishes if they choose.
For musical couples, have them sign a guitar or records with their special messages, to not only represent your personalities, but to adorn your love of music with messages of love from your friends and family.
For those who want to get creative on their wedding day, replace your guest book with a fingerprint painting. There are plenty of options for you with this one, from balloons attached to a house (a la Up) to leaves on a tree. Just leave the picture out with finger paint for your guests to add and sign if they wish. Don't forget to leave wipes on the table so your guests can clean their fingers afterwards.
If you want something to add to your home, consider getting your guests to sign Jenga pieces or stones to put in a vase. That way, you'll be decorating your marital home with well wishes from your special day. You can also let your guests leave sage advice or words of wisdom on cards for you to store and read after the wedding. It's nice to get well wishes and congratulations, but that combined with advice and pearls of wisdom are even better after your wedding day.
