Now that cold, dark January is behind us we can really start looking forward, to brighter mornings, milder evenings, and of course, Valentine's Day in just two weeks time. To celebrate, we're in the pink. It's the perfect romantic colour to add to your wedding, and it's not just for Valentine's Day. It's also the perfect colour for a summer wedding.
The key to pink it to off set it with a contrasting colour so that it's not overwhelming. Too much of any colour can be a bit overwhelming. Pastel pink goes great with cream, mint, or grey. This is particularly good to bear in mind when dressing the groomsmen. They might not like the idea of pink waistcoats but even pink ties and pink boutonnieres will look magical in a grey suit. Blush is also becoming a gorgeous choice for a colourful wedding dress.
For bridesmaids, pink is a great colour. If you're mismatching them in different shades, there will be a shade to suit any hair colour and skin tone. You can also match them with stunning bouquets because cream flower and green foliage matches great with pink flowers. Hydrangeas and tulips are particularly lovely and in season this time of year. If you're having a summer wedding, peonies are absolutely beautiful and in season in June.
For added romance, you can sprinkle a bit of pink magic on your reception. Have some sweet treats, like these cute macaroons. We love a little sprinkling of pink throughout a wedding, especially if you're having a Valentine's Day wedding.
