Known for serving up frothy, frilly and dream-worthy designs that are equally suited to the aisle as they are the runway, Paris Haute Couture Week never fails to offer ample inspiration for brides-to-be.

Twice a year the fashion-elite will descend upon Paris to soak up an impressive display of artistry, that although stunning, is not exactly an achievable fashion. Indeed, not only will choosing a dress straight from the catwalks of Paris Haute Couture Week cost an eye-watering €100,000 or more, the designs on show are groundbreaking, cutting edge and often unwearable for the real world.

Despite this, the style-savvy among us will scour the runways in anticipation of the next big thing, and if donning that white dress is part of your future plan, then the week is undoubtedly good for leaving you lust-worthy for your own dream dress.

Want to know what reigned the runway? This season designers debuted elegant sheer ruffles, fairytale-like silver hooded robes and a good helping of exaggerated silhouettes. Keep scrolling for our roundup of the best bridal moments from Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2019/2020.

Drawing inspiration from North Africa, Zuhair Murad worked with traditional carpet patterns transforming them into richly coloured jacquards and hand-beaded jackets. With his signature flair for the awe-inspiring, his show finished with a bridal look that can only be described as breathtaking. A decadent sensuality, the extravagant ivory dress featured shiny crystals and sequins, a theme that ran into the veil.
